Mobility Manager

Location:                    Knoxville, Tn.
Employment Status:    Full-time

Hourly rate:                $24.00 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Administrative and public relations work in the Transportation Department.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of "Ride-to-Work" policies and procedures, including responsibility for the planning, development, and implementation of a consolidated public access transportation program for persons who are disabled, older adults, and/or low-income residents residing in the counties served by the agency's transportation program.
  • Notifies contracted providers of clients' no-show trips daily.
  • Promotes, enhances, and facilitates "Ride-to-Work" services by communicating with area businesses, civic organizations, and other non-profit organizations.
  • Determines the eligibility of clients for funding based on annual Federal and State eligibility guidelines.
  • Inputs data into the appropriate database to derive necessary reports and documentation in support of program activities.
  • Promoting the transportation Rides-to-Work program to targeted populations.
  • Ensure the proper coordinator of transportation services with existing route schedules
  • Address issues and/or concerns from clients regarding the pick-up and drop-off times.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Graduation from an accredited four-year high school (A.A. Degree preferred) supplemented with additional course work in logistics and delivery of transportation services;
    • Considerable experience dealing with the public, performing accounting activities and administrative functions;
    • Considerable experience performing customer service-related duties (preferably for a rural transportation system).
    • Strong organizational, interpersonal skills and decision-making skills; or
    • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered
    • Valid TN driver license.
