CREVAA Case Manager

Location:                 Knoxville

Employment Status: Full-time

Hourly rate:             $22.41

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supporting victims of crime through the Collaborative Response to Elder and Vulnerable Adult Abuse (CREVAA) program through case management, advocacy, and direct services in Knoxville and surrounding counties.
  • Screening and supporting victims of crime in compliance with the CREVAA program standards.
  • Work occasionally with individuals in law enforcement including District Attorneys and Chief Law Enforcement officials at the state, county and city level.
  • Conduct home evaluation visits and phone screenings with reported victims of crime who are elderly or above age 18 with physical or developmental disabilities within an assigned service area.
  • Work to support other CREVAA staff to manage follow-up calls, arrange for services, and assist with coordination efforts including community education, outreach, and supporting volunteer development activities.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must possess an undergraduate degree from a four-year college or university, (Social Services/Work or Gerontology preferred);
  • Minimum of one year of experience in Social Services, Gerontology, or related fields.
  • Must pass a criminal background check by nation, state and local law enforcement agency.
  • Considerable knowledge of the regulations governing support service programs.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and decision making skills; good presentation skills.
  • Valid Tennessee Driver license.
  • Travel required.
