Assistant Child Nutrition Director

Location:                  Knoxville, Tn.

Employment Status: Full-time

Hourly rate:             $23.00


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist Program Director with all aspects of the Child Nutrition Programs.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of monthly and annual reports, monitoring feeding sites, recruiting and training new feeding sites for programs, and organizing and conducting large group trainings.
  • Research and visit potential new feeding sites and mobile stops.
  • Assist with the daily responsibilities of the mobile feeding programs such as driving delivery bus, loading and unloading meals, and completing required reports for the deliveries.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Services or related field;
  • Minimum of two years experience in child nutrition;
  • Minimum of two years experience in social program delivery and the preparation and submission of statistical reports;
  • Knowledge of nutritional guidelines for children;
  • Must be able to safely move and lift 40 lbs.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills; or
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Valid TN driver license.
